DAY 1 - Perth (Arrival)
Arrive Perth Airport. Self arrangement to hotel or may add in additional service for airport transfer. (Airport transfers not included. Price depends on the number of participants) Hotel standard check-in time 1400PM. At own leisure. Take the free CAT bus to Kings Park and wander through garden arrangements. Or Walk over to Hay and Murray Street for a spot of shopping and dining. Or stroll around Elizabeth Quay and narvel at the beautiful views across the river and of the city Skyline. To see all the city sights, hop on the Perth city sightseeing bus. Or Catch a train or join a cruise to the colourful port city of Fremantle. Browse the quiky shops, grab a coffee and bask in the atmosphere of the Cappuccino Strip. For lunch, feast on delicious local seafood at the Fremantle Fishing Boast Harbour. Or Visit Northbridge for the great food, live music and culture. During the balmy summer months (October to April) in the centre of the city every Friday night, the Twilight Hawkers Market is Perth’s original & biggest Street Food Market bringing the tastiest street food from around the globe to the heart of Perth. Held in Forrest Place from 4.30pm – 9.30pm, this is the place to grab a bite to eat pre-show or bring the family into town to enjoy the ambience of this wonderful market serving up authentic, delicious street food with live local music to add to the atmosphere. DAY 2 - Perth
Today excursion. Half Day Morning Perth & Fremantle City Explorer | Departs: Tue, Wed, Fri & Sun at 0800am or early at selected city hotels for pick up | Duration: 4.5 hours | Tour End: approx. 1230pm at Barrack Street Jetty in Perth A great taster tour taking in Perth and Fremantle, affording the opportunity to drive around these iconic cities with various stops. Starting in Perth, the tour takes in all major attractions of the revitalised Perth CBD, including the Western Australian Cricket Ground (WACA) and Optus Stadium. Then on to Kings Park Botanical Gardens, where you have the opportunity to view wildflowers or take in the stunning views from the war memorial looking back over the City skyline. Continue through the affluent Western Suburbs of Perth, known as Millionaire’s Row before passing Cottesloe Beach where the Indian Ocean sparkles. Travel on into historic Fremantle, viewing the impressive facades of this heritage listed city including a brief stop. To fully enhance and maximise your experience in Fremantle it is highly suggested that you take one of the additional options or include a relaxing Swan River cruise back to Perth (own expense). Alternatively, remain on the coach returning to Perth at approximately 12.30pm. Highlight: A fantastic tour taking in Perth and Fremantle, the city and the alfresco lifestyle that Perth people enjoy. DAY 3 - Perth - Pinnacle - Perth
Today excursion. Pinnacles Sunset and night time Stargazing tour | Departs Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri & Sun at 2:00pm or early at selected city hotels for pick up | Returns: approx. 11:00pm | Includes: Dinner, entry fees We head north away from the city towards Yanchep National Park for a quick comfort stop and an opportunity to see the koalas and kangaroos. From here we head up the coast towards the magical Pinnacle Desert to view the mystical limestone rock formations. Arriving late afternoon avoids the crowds and heat and allows for breathtaking sunsets. Experience the moon-like landscape come to life as the sun sets over the Indian Ocean and the moon rises. Once darkness falls, we travel to the fishing town of Cervantes for an included dinner at a traditional Western Australian tavern. Relax and enjoy an authentic local atmosphere before heading back into the night to experience one of the best stargazing Perth experiences available. Returning to the Pinnacles Desert, we make our way to the observation deck to soak up the tranquility of the national park and admire the night sky completely free from light pollution. Highlights: Explore the world renowned Pinnacle Desert, an amazing moon-like landscape, at the most magical time in the evening. DAY 4 - Perth - Margaret River - Perth
Today excursion. Margaret River, Chocolate, Nougat, Wine and Coastal Tour | Departs: Wed & Sun at 8:00am or early at selected city hotels for pick up | Returns: approx. 8:30pm | Includes: Lunch, entry fees We travel south from Perth, driving out into the farmland past grazing cattle, before stopping for morning tea (own expense) at the quirky and picturesque town of Cowaramup, famous for the 42 life-sized fibreglass Friesian cows that are located throughout. After exploring the town’s cafes and chocolate shops, we venture onward to Providore, where you can sample a range of delicious gourmet food products. Driving into the heart of Margaret River, we enjoy wine and nougat tastings at Bettenays Nougat Company, a highlight of this Margaret River wine tour, before your included lunch at one of Margaret River’s famous wineries or breweries. Next, it’s on to Vasse Virgin, where you can sample a huge selection of soaps, oils and other products. Continuing our trip out to the coast, we take in the spectacular seascape views across the Indian Ocean from Canal Rocks, following the walkways out over these chiselled granite blocks to see the rushing ocean beneath. We start our return journey north, and conclude with a stop at Busselton, where you will have a chance to view the iconic Busselton Jetty, the longest wooden jetty in the Southern Hemisphere. We depart from here back to Perth, arriving at approximately 8:30pm. Highlights: Known as one of Australia’s finest wine regions, the Margaret River Region is an area blessed with natural beauty.
