Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang (MOP KLIA), Japan’s branded factory outlet shopping mall announced the winners for its ‘Spend & Win a Car’ contest with each driving back a Toyota Avanza and Toyota Yaris respectively, in conjunction with the outlet mall’s Chap Goh Meh celebration.

The ‘Spend and Win a Car’ contest which was held in conjunction with MOP KLIA’s 2019 Christmas promotion has successfully garnered more than 13,000 entries and two winners were selected from among the entries submitted. The ‘Spend and Win a Car’ contest only required shoppers to spend a minimum amount of RM300 in a maximum of two receipts to participate.

Suhaimi Bin Mahdar, 52, one of the lucky winners who drove away a Toyota Avanza was overwhelmed when he received a call from MOP KLIA. “I filled out the ‘Spend and Win a Car’ form at the information counter to participate but didn’t think much about it after that. I later received a call informing me that I was in the running to win an Avanza and all I needed to do was to answer one question correctly. I didn’t quite believe that it was true until they read out my IC number,” said Suhaimi.

Another grand prize winner of the contest, Mohd Zafri Mohd Shariff, 52, who won the Toyota Yaris, shops at MOP KLIA approximately three times in a year with his wife. He said he could not believe that he was lucky enough to win the grand prize.

The Chap Goh Meh Chinese New Year celebration brought together Malaysia’s multi-racial community which was made up of shoppers as well as business partners and tenants of MOP KLIA. Together, they were entertained with the Chinese cultural performances such as the Sichuan Face Changing Show, Lion Dance and the tossing of the Prosperity Yee Sang.
